Washington, Oct 30 -

Washington, DC— Rep. John Mica (FL-07) today announced that he will host an emergency health care telephone town hall on Tuesday, November 3rd from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. for constituents of Florida’s 7th Congressional District.  The Congressman’s actions are in response to the House Democrat Majority’s newly unveiled health care reform proposal, which has grown from 1,000 pages to almost 2,000 pages.  Over the next several days, Rep. Mica will be reviewing the legislation that was crafted behind closed doors by a select group of Democrat Leaders.  The health care bill could be voted on in the House of Representatives as early as next week.

In the telephone conference with constituents, the Congressman will discuss the latest available information on the health care proposal and will hear from the public on the pending health care plans before Congress.  The public will be able to directly ask questions or comment during the live forum.  To sign up to participate in the telephone town hall conference call, those interested can do so online at www.mica.house.gov or by calling any of Congressman Mica’s 7th Congressional District offices.  In an October telephone town hall event, more than 5,600 constituents participated.
